Today sucked, but then it got better at the end. I woke up and my feet were extremely sore. I think I got some foot thing from walking on a sidewalk and near a bathroom barefoot while we were in Sagunto at the beach. I have never had that before. Jordan and I were supposed to get up early and walk to class, but we were late and had to take the bus. Conversation and grammar class were fine. After classes I found out about the trip to Barcelona. Alex said he was planning the trip and when I asked him about it he said that he already had a hostel for he and Caleb. I was not expecting to have to plan a trip to Barcelona and was not sure whether or not I should go because of how expensive everything is. Then Lisa calls me and I find out that she may not go to Rome because her flight because Caleb booked it wrong and it would cost 100.00 euros to change it. My bocadillo was not that great, but at least I had an orange. I stayed at school talking to people and doing work. I spent most of my time updating my blog, sending e-mails, and getting caught up on facebook. Liz and Annie were working on hostels for our trip after the program. There were not many options left in Cadiz so that will cost each of us $202 (dollars, not euros) and I realized how expensive this is going to be. I was there a long time and went to the mercadona (grocery store) with Annie and got 1.5 liters of water (huge) and freshly baked chocolate muffins for less than a euro. It was awesome. I went back to school and met up with Lisa. She went with me to the Farmacia to get medicine for my foot. She helped me communicate with the pharmacist and they were able to give me the medicine I needed. It was less than 3 euros! All of the medicine here is so cheap because it is government regulated. You don’t need prescriptions for most things (you could walk in and get valium) and all health care is free if you are over 60. It is a great deal. Lisa, Matt and I went to a coffee shop and had some more granizado (so good!) and talk about our days (mainly Lisa and I because we had bad days). I felt better after talking with her. We went to the mercadona and then I went home. I started doing my work, but I was still a little pissed off. I decided to go for a run while listening to my iPod. I started to feel a lot better and I even ran into Liz. We had a good talk and decided she, Matt and I would go to Barcelona on our own. I was glad she still wanted to go even thought Alex was not really planning it for us. I finished my run, ran home, home, got a shower and we had dinner. We had fish that had skin on it and had a lot of bones in it. I was not a big fan. We also had artichokes and of course, fruit. I finished my homework and then met up with Matt to start planning what we wanted to see in Barcelona. The Spain book my mom bought me came in handy. There was a park near by for kids and it was fun to play on the seesaw. I felt like a kid again. I went home and went to bed.

I got up at 8, had breakfast and Jordan and I made it downstairs in time to meet Lisa and walk to school. It only took us 30 minutes walking by some really cool sites. We got to school early so I was able to send some e-mails. Conversation class was great and so was grammar. I talked with Caleb and Lisa and they decided to go to the airport to fix the flight to Rome. I talked to Danny (this really jacked guy that looks like he spends a lot of time at the gym) after class and asked him where the gym was. He went on to talk about the guys who workout in Spain and it was hilarious. Apparently the wear man capris, nice shoes, designer shirts, and they are constantly checkout their own bodies. Oh and they only workout their chests and arms. Danny and Jessica were talking about intercambios so I decided to go sign up. It means I am paired with a Spanish student who is studying English. We are supposed to get together twice a week and help improve each others language skills. It should be good. I requested a girl. I helped Liz look for a hostel for Barcelona and then I went to the Port with Annie, Matt, and two other girls. It was really cool to watch the America’s Cup. Switzerland (Alinghi) won the final race so they won the competition. After a lot of pictures I went to the beach. The water was so warm and I really enjoyed it. I got a bus home, showered and called Lisa. She came by and we walked to her apartment. She had a cool apartment. We talked for a while then looked at our Rome trip. We found a great hostel. I came back home and had dinner with Jordan. Madre was not feeling well so she went to bed early. I did some work then Jordan let me drive the Vespa moped he rented for the day. It was so much fun to drive a moped in a city with all of the crazy drivers. It was not as fun as my motorcycle, but in a city it was great. It was a little hard not knowing all of the traffic signs. I want to rent one for the rest of the month. I finished my homework, relaxed and went to bed.
